Navi Mumbai, (Maharashtra) [India], 19th November 2024: Walplast, a leading manufacturer of building and construction materials, marked this Children’s Day with an inspiring initiative aimed at supporting and empowering underprivileged young girls. Through its CSR division, Walplast Welfare Foundation, and in collaboration with Project Nanhi Kali, Walplast hosted a memorable event at their Head Office at Navi Mumbai, providing over 100 girls from grades VI to VIII with resources to enhance their educational journey and cultivate essential life skills.
The Children’s Day event brought together Walplast employees, key stakeholders, and community members, with a focus on creating a meaningful and joyful experience for the participating girls. Highlights included engaging activities such as storytelling, art and craft, an interactive quiz, and a short film screening that underscored the importance of education and self-belief. The girls also received school supplies kits, further underscoring Walplast’s commitment to providing practical support for their academic growth.

Notably, this year marks the continuation of Walplast Welfare Foundation’s impactful partnership to support the education of 1,000 girls across several Indian cities, including Navi Mumbai, Nashik, Pune, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. Aligned with Walplast’s vision for sustainable social impact, the program emphasizes not only academic assistance but also sports, leadership training, and development of critical life skills to equip girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with the abilities needed for success in today’s world.
Last year, Walplast’s collaboration supported over 800 girls across districts like Palghar, Bharuch, and Varanasi, reflecting the foundation’s dedication to social responsibility.
