The Quiet Return of Ayurveda: How One Founder Is Rebuilding Trust in Everyday Wellness

A feature on Aman Ahuja, Founder of Twacharas

There is a question sitting underneath the modern wellness industry that most brands would rather nobody asked: what is actually inside the bottle? For Aman Ahuja, founder of the Ayurvedic supplement brand Twacharas, that question wasn’t a marketing angle — it was the entire reason to start the company.

“Ayurveda has lived quietly in Indian homes for thousands of years,” Ahuja says. “In our grandmothers’ kitchens, in the small steel boxes of dried herbs nobody explained but everyone somehow trusted. Somewhere along the way, as the world got faster and shelves got shinier, we stopped asking what our wellness was actually made of. That’s the gap I wanted to close.”

Where Tradition Meets Proof

Twacharas began with four ingredients: Shilajit, Ashwagandha, Moringa, and Ginger — pure herbal powders, free of fillers and vague “proprietary blends,” manufactured under GMP and FSSAI certification from day one. But for Ahuja, purity of ingredient was only half the promise. The other half was proof.

“My vision was never to choose between tradition and science — it was to bring them together,” he explains. “Ayurveda gives us thousands of years of lived wisdom about the human body. Science gives us the language and the evidence to carry that wisdom forward with confidence. That intersection is exactly where Twacharas lives, and it’s where I intend to keep it.”

It’s a positioning that sets the brand apart in a category often accused of trading on nostalgia rather than substance — offering heritage without verification. Twacharas is betting that the next generation of Ayurvedic consumers won’t accept one without the other.

Why People Are Choosing Twacharas as a Daily Habit, Not a Trend

The wellness aisle today is crowded with products built for a moment — a seasonal detox, aviral ingredient, a 30-day challenge. Ahuja set out to build something people could return to every single day, without a marketing calendar forcing the decision. “I didn’t build this to chase a trend,” he says. “I built it around one idea that hasn’t moved since day one — the utmost health for everybody. Not the algorithm, not the influencer cycle, not whatever’s trending this month.”

That consistency is the case Twacharas makes for itself as a daily source of health: transparent sourcing, certified manufacturing, and a refusal to cut corners even when it costs the company directly. When a product batch didn’t meet the brand’s own standard, Ahuja pulled it rather than relabel it — a decision with real financial cost, made because, in his words, “the moment you compromise on that, you’ve broken the one thing Ayurveda is actually built on: trust.”

What Growing Together Actually Means

Ask Ahuja what success looks like, and the answer isn’t market share. It’s reach — specifically, how many more people Twacharas can stand beside on their health journey, and how many more hands can help build it there.

“We’re a small brand standing next to some very large ones, and I’ve made peace with that,” he says. “The goal was never to out-shout them. It’s to out-care them.” That philosophy extends outward — to the gyms and wellness studios Twacharas partners with, the customers who reach out directly over WhatsApp and get a real reply, and the small, growing team he considers co-builders of the vision rather than employees executing one.

“Every partner, every customer, every person who works alongside me — we grow together, or we don’t grow at all,” Ahuja says. “That’s not a tagline. That’s how this company runs, every day, without exception.”

A Vision Beyond Borders

Ahuja is candid that Twacharas’ ambitions extend well past its current footprint across Amazon, Flipkart, its own D2C site, and WhatsApp commerce in India. He sees Ayurveda as one of the country’s most under-exported cultural assets — a body of knowledge the rest of the world is increasingly ready to receive, provided it arrives with the rigor to back it. “Ayurveda is a gift this country has held onto for millennia,” he says. “I believe the world is finally ready for it — done right, with science standing beside it, not against it. Wherever Twacharas goes next, that foundation doesn’t move.”

For now, that vision starts small and specific: four ingredients, certified and unaltered, and a founder who answers the phone himself. But the trajectory Ahuja describes is unmistakablylarger — a brand built not around a single product cycle, but around a standing promise that outlasts any one of them.

“This is what I believe in,” he says. “This is what I’m building. And I’ll be here for every part of it.”
