Delhi, [India] July 31, 2026: In a heartening story of hope, timely decision-making and the promise of stem cell preservation, a young child diagnosed with thalassaemia major has moved towards a healthier future after undergoing a successful stem cell transplant using preserved newborn stem cells from his younger sibling.
Mantra, the family’s elder son, was diagnosed with thalassaemia major at just two-and-a-half months of age.
